Hey,
I took these over the last three days. I used the RAW format for the captures and post processed the images in Lightroom.
Enjoy & take care,
Jimi
Interesting subject! Impermanence, decay, mortality, life – makes me thoughtful.
Great shots
These are stunning! The lighting and the details are amazing.
Poor flower, why did you let it to decay!!! You should dry the petals while fresh and then make a relaxing bath or foot soak for your partner or yourself 🙂
Jimi, this really excellent, a really excellent series of images, and really quite profound too – this is right up there with your best stuff! I’m going to reblog it. Adrian
Reblogged this on FATman Photos and commented:
I’m a fan of Jimi’s photography generally – but I’m especially struck by this series of shots of a decaying rose. The photographs ares beautiful of course, but I also find this series very still, profound and quiet – something to look at in a quiet time, something to stimulate thought. FATman
Beautiful pictures, but kinda sad really. 😦
On the other hand though, if the flowers didn’t die they wouldn’t make the seeds, or the space for the new life to carry on after they’ve gone. 🙂
Thanks for sharing.
