These are really great, they make me want to try shooting in black and white again. Looks like a great place to be in the summer!
Thank you =)
And you’re an OM user too!!! I cut my photographic teeth with an OM-1 and OM-2; and then used OM-4 and the Ti version when I really got back into photography in 2003. Nice pictures! FATman
The OM was my first “real” Camera, bought it for only a 100€ at a local store. In my opinion is just a great camera – sometimes I really like to just use a manual camera. How does it feel to shoot with the OM-4? good camera?
Oh yes, the OM-4 is good – and especially its advanced spot metering capabilities – I think you can average the exposure of up to 8 spot meter readings. If you’re thinking about getting one, get the OM-4 Ti version, as its less old than the original OM-4. As with my (superb!!!) F6, my OM-4 Ti is lying unused now – I used to particularly enjoy using it with a diminutive 21mm Zuiko. I’ve also used a Leica Minilux (superb exposure metering) and a Ricoh GR1v, which is just out of this world for compactness and picture quality. But, digital, digital, – and if you want another “review” the Nikon D700 is superb too – I feel very lucky to have had it as my first digital camera, it is simply so good, especially in poor light; and my other digital camera is a Canon G11 which is also excellent >>> I’ve been very lucky in my choices of cameras! Adrian
Hey Adrian, thank your for the information. I’m really thinking of buying a Nikon D7000 at the moment. A D700 would be great, but I’m a student, so it’s too expensive. 😉 But maybe I’ll end uo buying a Nikon F5 next month 😉
Have a nice day.
My opinion is – don’t get an F5, good as it is, but >>> definitely get a D7000 >>> and you’ll see your photography move off into uncharted territory. I can’t say this too strongly. Adrian
