A bar in Amsterdam / my nine lives
Hey,
when I was in Amsterdam for the weekend 2 weeks ago, with some friends, I spent the Sunday afternoon alone. First I went to the Van Gogh Museum (it was awesome), what was the reason I spent the afternoon alone, because none of my friends wanted to go. After the Museum I somehow spent the rest of the day by myself which was a really good experience. Especially when I found a nice bar, grabbed the only magazine that was in English and had a beer. It was a really good experience just to be by myself, observing the surroundings and chatting with the bar tender every now and then.
These are some of the photos I took while being there. I especially liked the phrase “My nine lives…” it makes me remember how perfect life is. =)
Enjoy & take care,
Jimi

Nice story and images, Jimi – I envy you the van Gogh Museum – a very favourite painter of mine! Adrian
Adrian, thank you. Somehow these photos belong together for me. Even though I think they wouldn’t match without my story, so I try my best with words. π
The Van Gogh Museum was amazing. I’ll post some photos at some point. π
You have a great eye for light and colour contrast. Very nice work.
Thank you =)
The first image is both bold and mesmerising, full of contrast.
Wow, thank you for your nice comment.
The top image is great, you managed to get the best out of your 50mm lens. The processing is also very effective and rich in contrast, which works very well on this image.
Thanks a lot for your comment, and thank you for your analysis of my photo, it’s always good to hear a second opinion.
