Of Time and Memory
Dear all,
you might have already seen two photos of this series on my project 365 blog, I posted two other photos there last week.
Recently I found some old, broken pocket watches at my grandmothers house (my grand-grandfather was a watch maker). The next day I was thinking about how I could use these for my photography. In the end I used some sewing cotton to attach the watches to a tree in my parents garden and played a little with some extreme depth of field.
I’m not certain about the meaning of theses photos, or what I wanted to intend shooting them. Just thinking about time and some things of the past. I’m curious for your opinion on these.
Enjoy & take care,
Jimi

Love these! What a fantastic set of images. Thanks for sharing 🙂
Thank you so much. =)
I love the way you’ve hung the watches on the tree. Nice series of photos of these treasures!

GORGEOUS!! Nice watches, beautiful colours and stunning depth of field!:)
What a wonderful idea and the photos are excellent !
I love them so much!!
Very creative! Reminds me of the liquid clocks of Salvador Dali 🙂
Imaginative pictures, Jimi – looking like something by Dali! Adrian
Very nice set, I like the last one the most.
I think they’re particularly moving, in that the trees were in their bare state. Time passing, waiting. Stopped?
