Hamburg // Night & Day // Hello, I’m back. ;-)

Good evening,

well, what can I say? I’ve been lacking inspiration for quite some time and just didn’t feel like picking up my camera. Anyway I think photography is starting to get me again, so I’m relaunching this blog, I hope that I didn’t lose all of my former readers. Just let me tell you, I’m sorry for just quitting without giving notice. Today, let’s start with a little street photography, the first one was taken last night, the second one this afternoon.

Enjoy & take care,

Jimi

  1. Hi Jimi, good to see you back, man! Don’t worry about disappearing, that’s how blogging can get us sometimes. I especially like the top picture here. It would be average if it were just the crowd and the fireworks, but those illuminated phone/camera screens really lift it to another world – they almost make it surreal in a way.

Nikon news? I’m looking at the D810, but awaiting Amateur Photographer’s review later this week – but I might just await the D900! One thing to avoid, my friend – Nikon’s new Capture NX-D software, which appears to be a real step backwards. I’m sticking with Capture NX2 (which Nikon no longer supports), and if that folds it’ll be Adobe Lightroom – and the Nik Efex software of course.

I hope you’re fine, my friend! Adrian

    • Adrian, it’s so good to hear from you. I’m good. How are you? I hope fine.
Thanks a lot for your comment. =) It’s the screens in the first photo that made me choose this one to upload.

I’m still very happy with my D600, the next gear I’ll buy will probably be a new hard drive (or two), since my laptop crashed last week and I really need more space to backup. After this I’ll need to look for some new lenses first. So the D600 will stay with me for some more time. 😉 I’ll stick with lightroom for now, perfect effects 8 was downloadable for free some weeks ago, it’s a really good addition to lightroom.

Did you hear the rumours on the D750? It’s supposed to be presented at photokina this year.

I think I’ll upload a new photo this evening, but it’ll be a “straight out the camera” one, since I’m using my old laptop until the other one is repaired.

      Have a great day.
      Jannik
